Atrus Carlyle Apollinaris - DOD A&D

Age: Turned at 24

Born on May 23, 1765 and raised as a rich, foppish French gentleman, Atrus is narcissistic, vain and infuriatingly charming to most of the people that he meets. When the Revolution started, Atrus ran away with his German vampire lover (as you do) and joined his coven, spending a century in decadent debauchery, only to be abandoned by his coven and lover in Scotland after one too many irritating comments. Despite being terrible on the whole, Atrus has been unfairly lucky his entire life, and along his journeys through Scotland and England found both a loving, long-suffering husband and a new coven. He has a successful online antique business, and spends most of his time drinking whiskey at the Crown and Feather. Most people will tell you that although Atrus is 99% insufferable, he has a 1% streak of pure, golden goodness that makes him just bearable enough to tolerate.

Ariel Orlando Lobby - CP Luwen

Age: 18

Orphaned as a very young child in the late 1400s, Ariel spent his early childhood as a ward of the the church. He was adopted by alchemist Caliban St. George at eight years and spent a decade learning his craft from Caliban, eventually surpassing his master’s ability in alchemical botany, especially with poisons. When Ariel stumbled across a small bottle containing the last two drops of his master’s fabled Elixir of Life, he used one drop to put the final touch on his magnum opus, an alchemical golem, and the other on himself. Caliban, having taken the Elixir himself many years prior and horrified to learn that his protege had suffered the same fate as he, went into a rage and attacked him. Ariel was knocked unconscious by a shovel, only to wake many days later buried alive in a well-nailed casket. Because he had taken the Elixir, he could not die, despite it taking him a horrifyingly long time to break out of his prison. By the time he emerged, Caliban was gone, and because of his ordeal, Ariel had gone completely mad. He spent several centuries poisoning anyone who got in his way, and even those who tried to help him. Because of his misdeeds he was eventually captured and, when they could not put him to death, was sentenced to an eternity behind bars. He remained imprisoned until only recently, and though he’s a bit more clear in the head now, there’s still something about him that isn’t quite right.

The City has welcomed him, and he spends most of his time working in his greenhouse or at his tea and herb shop with Victor, who keeps a close eye to make sure he doesn’t slip any hemlock into their patron’s goods.

Ariel is terrified of the dark, small spaces, and, for no discernible reason at all, ducks.
